In the Heart of Steamboat lies a vibrant arts community where once a year we gather to create a musical revue that benefits Steamboat Creates. We call it Cabaret!
The cast of talented actors and musicians write, organize, and act in a collection of skits, songs, and dances. We, good-heartedly, make fun of local events and issues, including local government, ski season shenanigans, western migration, plowing woes, and who knows. Poking fun at life in this laid-back mountain town has never been so fun. Cabaret is a community tradition, a live, comedic, never politically correct performance showcasing our town’s local talent.
Cabaret benefits Steamboat Creates so we can nurture the arts in town with children’s arts educational programs, collaborations, public art, exhibitions, ArtWalks, and much more. Cabaret is one of Steamboat Creates biggest fundraisers, and it is now in its 43rd year.
It’s time to get ready for the 43rd Annual Cabaret, happening May 14–17! Cabaret is a show for adults (18+ only) that turns our community’s stories and experiences into unforgettable entertainment.
How to Get Involved:
- Auditions: Share your talent and ideas in person on February 22 or 23, 4–8 PM, at the Depot Art Center.
- Email Submissions: Send your final sketches or parody songs to cabaretdirectors@gmail.com by March 8.
We’re looking for actors, singers, dancers, and anyone with a creative spark to join the fun! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or looking to give it a try, this is your chance to get involved in one of Steamboat’s most cherished traditions.
