Come make some mini books! The beginning of this workshop will be focused on creating two basic accordion bindings: the hinged-panel accordion, with two book board end covers and a flag binding with a soft cover. We will discuss basic paper tearing and folding as well as cover paper (or cloth) gluing techniques. In the last portion of class you can choose to make an official artist book using either one of the mini books you have already created or choosing to learn another binding style that will be presented. You will leave this workshop with at least two or three books that you create as well as the ability to make more books and start exploring other binding techniques.
