The second house built by James and Margaret Crawford, the founding family of Steamboat Springs, is still standing at 1238 Crawford Ave. (on 12th Street). The home was built in 1886 using local lumber from the Suttle Mill. The bay window was added later to accommodate their daughter’s wedding reception.
